With 3D Suspect Measurement, a suspect caught on a surveillance camera can be measured using a combination of captured data and a 3D laser scan. The surveillance camera images can not be measured on themselves, but when the image is combined with a laserscan which is accurate within millimeters, the image becomes measurable. This software enables to select common points between the laserscan and the image. Intelligent algorithms will align the image so it becomes measurable.

Now anyone can measure in a 2D picture within minutes!

Once the image is measurable the tools "virtual human" and "Arrow" become available.

With the arrow-tool a simple measurement of the length of the suspect can be done. But if the suspect's pose is not straight it is better then to use a virtual human. The virtual human can be posed within every body position. The user can find the height of a person by marking the position of the feet and inserting there, a virtual human. The skeleton's position will be corrected bone by bone untill it best fits the suspect's image.

Lens distortion is fully compensated by the built-in algorithms.
