Reference projects

Petrochemical

3D Laserscan and model piping structures for an engineering agency:
3D laserscanning provided "as-built" data to ensure a correct model of piping and structures for engineering purposes. The models were used to check the new design for clashes and the connections to the tie-in points.

Collision detection for several offshore platforms and rigs for an oil & gaz company:
"As-built" data of the platform has been generated by 3D laserscanning and provides the data to perform the collision detection in advance, so that the oil & gas company can anticipate to the possible problems.

Civil & infrastructure

CAD sections of bridges for the government

As a pilot project 6 bridges were captured by 3D laserscanning. The scope was to provide the ministry with exact "as-built" lowest points of the bridges to determine the maximum shipheights allowed.

3D laserscanning the window frames and front of a building for a glass engineering company
A new glass front and a new design glass structure for a building needed to be placed. The scope was to determine the dimensions needed for the glass structures by 3D laserscanning.

City modelling & serious gaming

Highway model for disaster training
A 3D "serious gaming" environment of a highway in the Netherlands, used as a basis for scenario driven disaster training.

Online demo model (Might need an additional Quest 3D player, will download automatically)

Visualisation movie Delft Before & After
A visualisation of the centre of Delft was made based on 3D laserscanning and new photomapping and texturing techniques. The railway zone is shown before and after the implementation of a new design by the architect Busquet in the old city centre of Delft.

3D serious game for the Dutch police
An interactive game was created to train and educate Police officers. The scope was to provide the Police with a game that trains the decision making in a quick, safe and low cost way in their own recognizable environment.

Security & safety

3D laserscanning of buildings for Interseco
Business and housing areas were mapped in high detail to show the vulnerability of certain buildings. The data can be used for simulations of shocking events such as taking hostages, bombings or large-scale evictions. In the case of a real incident, the 3D-recording is valuable to plan and prepare operational actions.

Architecture

Finite Element Analysis of the Nidaros Cathedral
The entrance of the church has been scanned to measure settlements and cracks. Furthermore, parts have been modelled and transferred to a finite element program to assess the stress situation for the church entrance.

Art & cultural heritage

Capturing the current state of 7 statues
Seven statues, from the year 1500, were scanned for capturing the current state they're in. The statues are situated in a museum at the Schotse Huizen in Veere, the Netherlands.

Forensics

Digitally captured traffic accident for forensic purposes
The dutch Police studied a staged traffic accident involving a car. The scanoperator was able to stay at a safe distance (to avoid contamination of the (crime) scene) from the objects while capturing the scene. In the office, the traffic Police was able to virtually investigate the scene, taking measurements, calculating positions, distances and velocities.
