History
Willem J.E van Spanje MSc, CEO of DelftTech & DelftForensics founded DelftTech in the year 2000 and introduced 3D laserscanning in Europe. DelftTech is based in Delft, in the industrial hart of the Netherlands. The company was founded in 2000 as a spin-off from a finite elements software company due to the growing need of accurate "as-built" 3D models. DelftTech was one of the first companies in Europe to purchase a laserscanner. It was a known problem that existing 2D/3D model information frequently differed from reality. Acquiring 3D "as-built" models using conventional methods was very complicated and time consuming. After the introduction of new laser scanning techniques it became clear that this method would soon overtake the conventional methods and that many companies would benefit from it. As DelftTech grew, and aquired more projects in the forensic sector, a spin-off was created in the year 2006. Under the name DelftForensics, DelftTech supported several national and international policeoffices with dedicaded software to investigate crime scene locations. Nowadays, DelftTech has grown and successfully performed a number of international and national projects. Continuous innovation throughout 10 years of history means DelftTech has skilled laserscan operators, consultants and engineers delivering accurate 3D solutions. |
